To link more HX220 or EX230v units to your current HX220 mesh network, follow these simple steps. It’s like putting together building blocks!

What You Need:

  • Make sure your main HX220 or EX230v router is already working and connected to the internet.
  • Ensure all the new HX220 devices are turned on and close to each other.

Let’s Get Started!

1. Get the New Mesh Unit Ready

  1. Unbox the Unit: Take the new HX220 out of its box.
  2. Power It On: Plug the new unit into the wall and turn it on. Watch for the little light to start blinking (this will be white or blue).

2. Access the Main Router’s Control Panel

  1. Connect to the Main Router:
    • Use your computer or smartphone to connect to the Wi-Fi network of your main router.
  2. Open the Control Panel:
    • Open your web browser (like Chrome or Safari) and type in the router’s address: 192.168.88.1 for HX220 or 192.168.0.1 for EX230v.
    • Log in with your username and password (usually both are admin or admin123 if you haven’t changed them).

3. Add the New Mesh Unit

  1. Find EasyMesh Settings:
    • In the control panel, look for the section called EasyMesh or Mesh settings. It’s usually under ‘Wireless’ or ‘Network’ settings.
  2. Add a New Node:
    • Click on the option to add a new EasyMesh node.
    • The main router will start looking for the new unit.

4. Connect the New Unit

  1. Pairing Time:

    • The main router will find it and start connecting. Just follow the instructions on your screen.
  2. Success!:

5. Find the Best Spot

  1. Move the Unit:
    • Put the new unit where you need better Wi-Fi, like in another room.
    • Make sure it’s not too far from the main router or another mesh unit.
  2. Check the Connection:
    • Use a device (like a tablet or laptop) near the new unit to see if the internet works well.

6. Make Sure Everything is Working

  1. Check the Network:
    • Log back into the main router’s control panel.
    • Look to see if the new unit shows up as connected.
